A Field Service Engineer is a professional, engaged, and open-minded individual
who is part of a dedicated team of engineers and sales representatives that offer a wide range of
equipment and services to our customers providing a friendly, proactive solution to customer
requirements.

Responsibilities
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, LOLER inspections and repairs on Medical
Equipment covered by service contracts. Requires the following of logical and systematic steps
to test equipment and diagnose any potential or existing faults while working in a safe and
efficient manner
• Actively promote and fulfil Preventive Maintenance offer
• Work at building up knowledge to be able to improve right first time and first-time fix rates
• Recommend repairs and improvements to the customer and provide details to produce a
quotation for prospective work such as replacement of wear and tear parts to avoid breakdowns
between service visits and upgrades to improve the functionality of the equipment
• Fill in work reports systematically and consistently via PDA on to our business resource
planning system
• Work in close cooperation with the sales force so that potential sales opportunities and leads
can be captured and managed internally
• To develop full knowledge of products, as well as keeping up to date with Care Home
equipment developments and our competitors’ product and service offering.
• Responsible for maintaining company vehicle, its stock and tools as well as company phone,
tablet/laptop
• Responsible for accurate timesheet reporting, correctly detailing job numbers, recording
travel time, tagging and labelling equipment etc
• Provide out-of-hours cover on a call-out rota

• diligent and keen attention to detail.
• Work is precise, and documentation is detailed and accurate
• Results orientated, aim to carry out work to a high standard within the allocated time and
costs
• Experienced in following Health and Safety guidelines, experienced in making appropriate Risk
Assessments, ensuring work is completed in a safe manner
• Show initiative and a “Can Do” attitude to problem-solving and maximise right first time KPI
• Eager to learn and develop new skills both in technical and commercial related matters
• Able and willing to stay away overnight to cover more remote work to maximise time on site
and reduce travel time
• Able to develop good working relationships with other engineers and colleagues
• IT literate
• Trained and experienced in carrying out LOLER tests on Care Home or similar equipment is
desirable. Full training will be provided
• complete a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check to work in sensitive environments with
vulnerable people
• have a clean driving license
