Job Purpose:

To support the area and regional team by delivering, collecting and providing appropriate training on medical devices as part of the service offered to customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Deliver/install and provide ‘in service instruction’ on all systems ensuring that equipment is fully functional and that users are aware of operating and emergency procedures.

· Collect used equipment from customers and ensure that this is processed in accordance with the company’s infection control procedures.

· Respond to breakdowns in the field and exchange faulty products, where required, and complete all necessary documentation.

· To report all service related issues to their Line Manager

· To ensure that the allocated vehicle is maintained and cleaned in line with the Company’s relevant Policies.

· Adherence to all Health and Safety measures.

· Undertake any other reasonable requests as determined by Line Manager.

· To undertake their turn on the On Call Rota system

· Ensure that all relevant paperwork in either hard copy or electronically are completed and where necessary returned to the Office..

· Carry out cleaning duties at the depot as and when required, including; pump systems, accessories and the Decon area etc.

· Assist laundry personnel with loading/unloading the van and ensuring that paperwork is completed correctly.

· To undertake laundry activities to ensure that rental products undergo full decontamination, service and maintenance procedures, on an ad hoc basis.

· Any other reasonable task requested by the Area Manager or Supervisor.

Skills and Experience:

· Experience of multi-drop delivery and/or installations highly desirable.

· Ability to prioritise work and amend route plans accordingly.

· Thorough understanding of Health and Safety principals.

· Experience in medical devices/healthcare environment preferred.

· A positive and team orientated approach, whilst being able to work autonomously.

· Good knowledge of assigned regions geographical area

· Ability to communicate with a wide range of customers

· A methodical, logical and practical approach

· Basic understanding of engineering principles.

· Ability to work under own initiative, multi task and achieve deadlines

· Thorough understanding of Health and Safety principals.

· Experience in medical device decontamination, healthcare or service environments, highly desirable.

· Good administrative skills

 

Essential Requirements:

· Good communication skills.

· Proficient written skills.

· Must be able to lift bulky mattresses for prolonged periods.

· UK Requirements: Eligibility to work in the UK (essential).
